Date of Birth: 19 Mar 2020
Sire: MUHAARAR (GB)
Dam: STYLISHLY (GB)
Dam Sire: PIVOTAL (GB)
An attractive yearling filly by Muhaarar is offered for sale.
This March 2020 foal is the third offspring of the unraced Pivotal mare Stylishly. The dam has previously produced Fenix, a four-year-old Lope de Vega filly who was placed on her racecourse debut last year, and a three-year-old colt by Dark Angel who has raced a handful of times in Europe.
The aforementioned Fenix was a €60,000 yearling purchase at Arqana in 2018, a figure which highlights the exceptional value that the filly for sale represents.
The commercial appeal of Stylishly and her progeny can be attributed to the mare's first-rate pedigree, as she hails from a fine Cheveley Park family and is a sibling of four black-type performers.
She is a half-sister to the high-class sprinter Danehurst, who was an unbeaten Grp-3 winning two-year-old and earned eight stakes successes amongst 10 victories in total, and the US black-type winner Rising Legend. In addition, she is a full-sister to the Grp-3 Prix Penelope heroine Humouresque and the Grp-2 Hardwicke Stakes third Mighty, who later took up stallion duties.
Danehurst has gone on to provide numerous winners as a broodmare, most notably the Listed-winner Birch Grove, whilst Humouresque is responsible for the Listed-placed pair Crotchet and Piano.
Stylishly evidently hails from a distinguished line of broodmares, and the influence of Pivotal adds substantially to her breeding credentials.
The Cheveley Park mainstay, who was pensioned from stud duties earlier this year, is a multiple Champion Broodmare Sire, whose daughters have given such superstars as Cracksman, Love, Magical, Advertise and Defoe. His influence remains keenly felt, as was demonstrated at Royal Ascot where he topped the damsire standings.
It is also noteworthy that Pivotal mares have posted some excellent results when paired with the covering sire Muhaarar.
An outstanding sprinter, Muhaarar progressed from winning the Grp-2 Gimcrack Stakes at two to lift the Grp-1 Commonwealth Cup, Grp-1 July Cup, Grp-1 Prix Maurice de Gheest and Grp-1 Champions Sprint during an exceptional three-year-old campaign.
Subsequently retired to Nunnery Stud, the son of Oasis Dream's first runners emerged in 2019 and he has wasted little time in impacting the stallion ranks. He is responsible for the Grp-3 winners Mujbar and Paix, plus the Listed-winning fillies Albaflora and Eshaada.
As referenced above, the sire has also demonstrated a compatibility with Pivotal mares, as two of his higher-rated progeny - the Grp-1 placed two-year-old Baradar and the 99-rated dual winner Magical Morning - are examples of the potency of the nick.
This extremely likeable filly has a superb profile on paper and the physical characteristics to match. Please get in touch for more details.
