Date of Birth: 03 Apr 2019
Sire: Coach House
Dam: Ares Choix
Dam Sire: Choisir
A strong and sharp-looking colt by Coach House is offered for sale.
He is out of the Choisir mare Ares Choix, who was a very smart performer at two years. She won on her second appearance over six-furlongs at Redcar, before finishing a respectable sixth in the Grp-3 Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot and later taking third in the Listed Prix de la Vallee d'Auge.
Ares Choix is in turn out of the mile and a quarter French Listed winner Ares Vallis, and therefore counts amongst her siblings the Grp-3 Chartwell Fillies Stakes heroine Emerald Star. It is also worth noting the continually improving record of Choisir as a broodmare sire. The great Australian sprinter is now responsible in this sense for the Grp-1 winners My Dream Boat, Persuasive and Winter, amongst many other high-class animals.
Since retiring to breeding duties Ares Choix has demonstrated herself to be a consistent producer of winners from relatively limited opportunities - no less than three of her offspring have been successful to this point. Racecourse success for the progeny of Ares Choix has been allied to equally impressive results in the auction ring. At the Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale in August her 2018 Havana Gold yearling colt realised £30,000.
After breaking his maiden by six and a half-lengths at Tipperary, the sire Coach House won the Listed Marble Hill Stakes, finished second behind subsequent Grp-1 winner No Nay Never in the Grp-2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot, and then finished third in the Grp-2 Railway Stakes.
Since commencing stallion duties he has sired two crops of racing age, with the Grp-1 Middle Park Stakes third and Listed winning Summer Sands his standout performer to date. That colt was sold for just £2,000 as a yearling before going on to make £85,000 at the Ascot Breeze-Up Sale, and his Grp-1 placing at Newmarket came in one of the strongest renewals of the Middle Park in recent times. He has since sold to Joseph O'Brien for more than 600,000gns.
Such details bode extremely well for Coach House and his supporters moving forward.
This well-developed April-foaled colt impresses physically and takes the eye on paper. He is sure to attract plenty of admirers, don't miss out!
