Category: Unraced horses
Date of Birth: 21 Apr 2017
Dam Sire: Kahyasi
A four-year-old gelding by Telescope out of a Kahyasi mare is available for sale.
He has been broken in and in training and is reported to have worked well and jumped some hurdles; however, his trainer felt he needed some time off as he was still growing. His current owners do not feel they have the time that the horse needs but he will make someone a lovely prospect for the future.
The dam Kahooting was unraced but has already produced a trio of runners, including the Frozen Fire gelding Dusty Pearl, who finished third in an Aintree bumper on his rules debut. Her six-year-old Midnight Legend mare Hoot At Midnight was also placed on her bumper debut, as well as placing over hurdles at Plumpton earlier this season. Kahooting possesses a very smart pedigree, being out of the high-class NH mare Perle de Puce. She was a winner and stakes-placed in France in her youth before transferring to the care of Nicky Henderson, for whom she won the Grade-2 Kennel Gate Novices' Hurdle at Ascot. Perle de Puce is in turn out of the multiple Listed-winner Ma Puce, whilst further near-relations include the Listed-winning jumpers Pecheur d'Islande and Jeannot de Nonant.
Meanwhile, Kahyasi is the celebrated damsire of many top-class jumpers such as A Plus Tard, Zarkandar, Zaynar, Zaidpour, Ponte Alexandre, Mourad and Starluck, to name a few.
The influence of the covering sire Telescope is another real source of optimism for this gelding's prospects.
The brilliant winner of the Grp-2 Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot and Grp-1 placed on numerous occasions, the son of Galileo retired to Shade Oak Stud for the 2016 breeding season.
He has been represented by just a handful of runners to date, including the twice-placed flat horse Royal Astronomer, though it is when his runners begin to appear under NH rules in greater numbers that his progeny are expected to shine. An exceptionally good-looking sire from a stallion-making family, his stock have already realised up to €47,000 at public auction and there is much anticipation at what he might achieve. This strong and impressive individual has already made progress in his development and is blessed with an eyecatching pedigree. Please get in touch for more information. Note: has been seen to windsuck
