A broken but untried three-year-old filly by Stimulation is offered for sale. Her sale is precipitated by her current owner's retirement, and she looks sure to develop into a cracking long-term prospect.
The filly is out of the Chevalier mare Dancing Tara, who showed ability on numerous occasions, notably when second over five-furlongs at Warwick and Bath. In the process she demonstrated her ability to handle vastly different ground conditions.
Dancing Tara is out of the broodmare Prayer and therefore counts amongst her siblings the Listed Midsummer Stakes winner and Grp-3 Acomb Stakes third Without A Prayer. The next generation of the family features the US Grade-1 placed Soothsay and the family traces back to the US Grade-2 winning matriarch Crockadore.
The sire Stimulation was a high-class performer over four seasons in training with Hughie Morrison. He was second in the Grp-3 Horris Hill Stakes as a two-year-old, captured the Listed Free Handicap and Grp-2 Challenge Stakes at three, before returning to his very best when fourth in the Grp-1 Prince of Wakes's Stakes at five.
He has been afforded relatively limited opportunities at stud but has certainly made the most of them. His most notable progeny to date include the Grp-3 Sagaro Stakes and Cesarewitch heroine Sweet Selection, the Royal Ascot placed juvenile Union Rose and the Listed-placed Dave Dexter. He is capable of getting smart performers over a range of distances and his progeny tend to be tough, genuine and sound enough to take lots of racing.
The filly offered for sale looks to possess exciting physical characteristics, whilst her pedigree indicates a speedy and durable horse in the making. She is on offer at a very reasonable price and is sure to attract attention.
