2016 Filly by Milan (GB) ex Zoeys Dream (Ire)

An attractive and imposing five-year-old mare by the leading NH sire Milan is offered for sale.

A January 2016 foal, she is out of the unraced Flemensfirth mare Zoeys Dream, who has also produced a three-year-old filly and two-year-old colt by Leading Light, and awaits her first runner.

The pairing of Milan with Flemensfirth mares is a combination that has been cultivated on numerous occasions in the past, and has resulted in smart performers such as Sort It Out, runner-up in the Grade-3 County Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, and the exciting unbeaten Listed-winning hurdler Marie's Rock. 

Zoeys Dream is a half-sister to Our Vinnie, who scored in a bumper prior to winning twice in Grade-3 company over hurdles. Their dam Boopsey was a half-sister to the 2008 Grand National hero Comply Or Die, whilst the further family features the Grade-2 placed pair Ballycrystal and Midland Flame, as well as the Irish National second Golden Wonder.

This smart distaff line is complemented by the influence of reigning Champion NH Sire Milan. The 2001 St Leger hero is at the peak of his powers just now, and his stellar 2019/20 campaign was built upon the exploits of such luminaries as Santini, Monalee and If The Cap Fits, to name but a few.

Go a little further back and the son of Sadler's Wells is responsible for the Champion Hurdle winner Jezki, the exceptional Grade-1 winning hurdler Darlan and the Grand National winner One For Arthur.

His continued commercial appeal saw his stud fee elevated to a career-high €10,000 for the 2020 covering season, whilst his stores have realised up to €195,000 at public auction within the past 12 months.
