Jumps enthusiasts are sought to participate in an exciting new racing club that will provide lots of fun over the next 12 months. The focus of the club is this tremendous unnamed five-year-old gelding by the increasingly influential sire Arcadio, who is trained by Conor Dore in Lincolnshire.
A good, strong and sturdily-built individual, he possesses good bone and is of a decent size and height. He is out of the unraced Little Bighorn mare Dorcet'slast Stand, whose full-brother Crazy Horse was a prolific 151-rated and Grade-2 placed hurdler.
Indeed, this is a family that produces black-type animals with regularity. Further names of note on the page include the Galway Plate runner-up Baptismal Fire and the Listed winning hurdler Flute Bowl, whilst a series of high-class performers on the level can be found within the first few generations.
It is also worth pointing out that Little Bighorn is the damsire of the Grand National hero Ballabriggs.
The sire Arcadio was a high-class middle-distance performer on the flat in Germany, winning twice at up to Grp-2 level and placing in numerous Grp-1 races including the Deutsches Derby. He has quickly outstripped those achievements at stud, however, with his reputation soaring as a NH producer over the past five or six years.
He does particularly well with his runners over fences, and his best performers to date include the Grade-1 winning chasers Flying Angel and Hardline, the Grade-1 Ballymore Novices' Hurdle third Bright Forecast and the high-class Grade-3 winning handicap chaser Go Conquer.
This lad clearly has all the right credentials on paper and combines that with an impressive physique. He should have no trouble jumping hurdles or fences in time. He has recently gone into training and has so far been ridden and slow cantered.
It is anticipated he will be running in bumpers from October 2019 and he promises to take club members on a tremendous journey in the coming weeks and months. So why not join in the fun?
