Shares available in promising son of Tamayuz trained by Iain Jardine; placed in two of last three starts! Let's Be Lucky Racing is delighted to present shares for sale in the three-year-old gelding Zumaaty. The highly promising son of Tamayuz has shown good form for previous connections and is now based with trainer Iain Jardine.
Previously trained by Archie Watson, Zumaaty had just one run as a two-year-old, where he was colty and ran green, despite having attracted market support. He has progressed in five starts this year, earning an opening handicap mark of 62 after his third run, following which he was gelded.
He ran a smashing race on his handicap debut over a mile at Brighton in April, going down by just a head, before running an excellent third on the AW at Wolverhampton on his next start, despite meeting trouble in running. The 2nd from that race (gave 5lb) ran off 52 and has won 5 races since and is now rates 82! On his final start for the Archie Watson yard he was unplaced at Lingfield, though he was clearly unsuited by the very deep ground.
Had Zumaaty gone to the sales following his placed efforts he would surely have fetched 20 to £25,000, yet the Let's Be Lucky team were able to pick him up for a significantly reduced sum. He looks to have been very well bought.
A late-maturing son of Tamayuz, Zumaaty is out of the Danehill Dancer mare Blackangelheart, who has previously bred three winners. These include the five-time winner Straight Ash, who has continued to improve with age and won earlier this year as a six-year-old.
Blackangelheart is in turn a sibling of the dam of the high-class dual-purpose performer Unaccompanied, whilst the further pedigree is overflowing with top-class horses that trace back to the Moyglare Stud's outstanding foundation mare Talking Picture.
After just six outings Zumaaty has bundles of improvement to come, and he is expected to do very well in the care of Iain Jardine, who has a superb track record when picking up this sort of horse.
All options are open to Zumaaty, who should stay a mile-and-a-quarter at least, and the plan is to target him at the end of the turf season or races and at Newcastle in November/December. He's well on his way back to full fitness.Looking further ahead, 2022 should be a very exciting year for this horse and his new owners! Please get in touch for more details.
