Rags To Richies Racing is delighted to offer shares for sale in the seven-year-old Ask mare Whatcolourishe. A point-to-point winner in Ireland in 2018, she has the looks and pedigree to indicate an exciting future awaits. She will be trained by the Cheltenham Festival winning trainer Keiran Burke from his Dorset base.
Whatcolourishe made her rules debut for trainer Tom George in a Southwell bumper back in June, showing early pace when racing keenly but not quite getting home. It was a run that hinted at better to come, a view which is underlined when you glance at the form of her Loughbrickland point-to-point victory in October 2018.
On that occasion Whatcolourishe showed a fine attitude and bundles of stamina to defeat subsequent winner Le Hachette in a driving finish, with further future winners Brophies Doll and Bog Lane Baby well in arrears.
There is serious substance to the pedigree too. She is out of the dual chase winner Ardnataggle, whose previous progeny include the very smart Grade-2 placed chaser Frankie Figg - best remembered for his bold jumping win over the Aintree Grand National fences in the 2010 Grand Sefton Handicap Chase - and the Grade-3 placed multiple winning hurdler/chaser Three Faces West.
The further family includes the Grade-2 winning hurdler/chaser Lord Transcend, who looked sure to progress to the highest class had injury not intervened and curtailed his career.
Whatcolourishe is out of the dual Grp-1 winner Ask, who has carved out a good niche for himself within the NH sire ranks in recent campaigns. Last season alone he was represented by the Grade-2 placed novice hurdlers Ask Ben and Buster Valentine, and his influence seems sure to increase in the seasons ahead.
Whatcolourishe is an attractive mare with proven racecourse ability and a fine pedigree. She looks sure to give syndicate members an awful lot of fun and excitement, so why not get involved at a very affordable price!?
