Rasio Cymru Racing is delighted to offer shares in the winning five-year-old gelding Tabaahy who gained a brilliant recent success at Newcastle, overpowering a very competitive field with a strong late run.
This tremendously brave and talented sprinter is a well-bred son of Kyllachy. He is based with trainer David O'Meara in Upper Helmsley, North Yorkshire.
Rasio Cymru Racing is a small and very friendly syndicate with three horses in training with the brilliant David O'Meara. The team has previously enjoyed success with the multiple winner Steel Train, who David improved from a rating of 70 all the way up to a rating of 100.
Bred by the Cheveley Park Stud, Tabaahy is a member of a distinguished family. He is a full-brother to Penitent, whose 11 career victories included two at Grp-2 level, one Grp-3, multiple Listed events and the Lincoln. He was trained for the greater part of his career by David O'Meara, so the trainer is familiar with the family, whilst other winning siblings include the 11-time winner Divine Call, the 10-time winner Solemn and the Grp-2 Mill Reef Stakes hero Supplicant.
Originally trained in Ireland, Tabaahy was a 260,000gns yearling purchase who raced in the famous blue and white Hamdan Al Maktoum silks at the start of his career. Unraced at two, he showed lots of promise when fifth in a five-furlong Curragh maiden, which was won by the subsequent Grp-2 winner Soffia.
Transferred to David's care at the start of last season, Tabaahy made an immediate impact in Britain when winning a five-furlong novice at Wolverhampton on his stable debut. He ran creditably a few more times last summer, before being put away ahead of a winter campaign.
Tabaahy has really hit his stride in recent months. He won a five-furlong handicap at Wolverhampton in early February and finished second over the same trip a few weeks later, before adding yet another Dunstall Park victory when stepped up to six-furlongs in early March.
Although clearly well-suited by the AW, Tabaahy has already shown more than enough on turf to suggest that he will be adding to his tally on the grass in the months ahead.
Shares are now available in this talented and likeable sprinter who showed in his Newcastle success that he is still one step ahead of the handicapper. So hurry to register your interest!
