An opportunity to purchase a share in Stratton Oakmont.
He was purchased by Kayley Woollacott at the Doncaster October 2020 sales following one run in a Bumper. He finished third, recording a Racing Post Rating of 97.
He was given time to settle in and made his debut for us in an All Weather Bumper at Lingfield where he got blocked in at the home turn and, once in the clear, ran on nicely to secure fourth place and record a RPR of 94.
We then took him to Doncaster and he improved to finish third amongst some solid and expensive horses and recorded a RPR of 108, by far his best run so far. He will have one more run before having the summer off to allow him to mature and go novice hurdling next season.
He is big and agile enough to jump a fence in time, so should give his owners plenty of fun at some Grade 1 tracks in the future.
Below is a break down of the form from his three races..
None of these had run under Rules before and point-to-point form was minimal, but some costly purchases lined up.
SKYTASTIC is from a family of Flat winners and was quite well supported. Having been up there throughout he just got the better of a sustained duel with the runner-up.
Orbys Legend cost 80,000GBP after showing promise in an Irish point-to-point and he made a promising bumper debut, making the winner battle hard. He should win a similar race.
Mr Glass cost 100,000GBP as a 3yo and is from the family of Yanworth, but when he came under pressure it took him a while to get the message and he never quite threatened to win. He'll improve on this.
Becky The Boo was the only filly in the race and shaped quite well. She ought to be competitive in a mares' race.
Fine Casting cost 75,000GBP as a 3yo and showed promise, threatening briefly towards the stands' side.
Fletch cost a massive 250,000euros as a 3yo but couldn't really pick up on this ground. He's worth another chance.
Cossack Dancer is regarded a galloper and made a respectable debut, racing towards the outside.
Diamon des Flos is a 55,000euros brother to smart Vision des Flos, but he was far too keen on this racecourse debut.
Subsequently the 2nd,3rd,4th,5th and 6th have all won
