Hot To Trot Racing are offering lease shares in their 'HotToTrot1' syndicate for the 2020 season. The horses on offer are as follows:
HAND ON MY HEART, trained by Clive Cox. She looked a star in the making when winning a conditions race at Windsor on debut last June. She then went on to run a respectable race in the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes at Glorious Goodwood but was a shade disappointing in a French Group 3 on her final start in late August. She has had an extended break since then and Clive retains his high opinion of her ahead of this season. She is of course an incredibly well-bred filly being a half-sister to our Queen Mary and Flying Childers winner Heartache as well as the talented Heartwarming. She is the third foal of the Listed-winning Place In My Heart and she is by the high class sire Iffraaj, responsible for the likes of Ribchester, Chriselliam and Rizeena.
THOMAS PERCY, trained by Heather Main. An athletic son of the ultra versatile Derby-winning racehorse and sire, Sir Percy. We purchased 50% of him at the Tattersalls Guineas Breeze-Up Sale last spring and he has shown plenty of promise at home since, despite not quite making the racetrack at two. He was gelded over the winter and we are all looking forward to seeing what he can do on the track this spring/summer!
PEACEFUL DREAM, trained by Robert Cowell. A very well-bred daughter of the July Cup winner / Group 1 producing sire, Dream Ahead. On the dam's side, she is a half-sister to the 2019 Breeders Cup Turf Sprint winner Belvoir Bay. She showed ability at home last season before immaturity told us to back off. She has since had a good winter break and we are hopeful she will make up into a useful filly on the track this season.
DAISY WARWICK, trained by Andrew Balding. A superbly-bred filly being a half-sister to the 'Budapest Bullet', Overdose, and by one of the most exciting young sires in Europe in Kingman. Kingman's first crop has included the likes of Calyx, King Of Comedy and Headman whilst his stud fee is now at a whopping £150,000! 'Daisy' is attractive and athletic filly who will come into her own during the second half of this season and next year.
UNNAMED (2018 filly by Oasis Dream ex Got To Dream), trained by Ed Walker. This filly is a classy-looking daughter of the top class sprinter and sire Oasis Dream, a July Cup winner himself and responsible for the likes of Muhaarar, Midday and Aqlaam as a stallion since. The dam, Got To Dream, was rated 83 and is a half-sister to the Oaks-placed Lady Of Dubai. This is the family of that top class stayer Millenary.
UNNAMED (2018 filly by Awtaad ex Bournemouth Belle), trained by Richard Hannon. This filly hails from the first crop of the Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Awtaad whose progeny were especially popular at last autumn's yearling sales. She is the first foal of the diminutive but very precocious Bournemouth Belle who was trained, like this filly, by the Hannon's. Bournemouth Belle broke her maiden in May of her 2yo career before going on to finish 3rd in the Listed Empress Stakes the following month. This filly is a smallish filly like her dam but she is very racy and has the potential to make up into a smart 2yo.
UNNAMED (2018 filly by Equiano ex Persario), trained by James Fanshawe. This filly is one of the best-bred fillies we have ever had in Hot To Trot as she is a full-sister to Equiano's best progeny, The Tin Man, a three-time Group 1 winner. She is also a half-sister to another top sprinter in the shape of Deacon Blues. Both were trained by James Fanshawe who of course will train this filly for us. Equiano himself was a dual King's Stand winner in his day whilst, at stud, he has been a consistent source of classy sprinters including the likes of Belvoir Bay and Strath Burn. This filly is a hugely exciting type on pedigree as well as physically and we are very lucky to have her on our team.
