12-month lease shares are available in Pepper Street, who is trained by Sam England in Guiseley, West Yorkshire.

Pepper Street is a well-related six-year-old daughter of Born To Sea, who has won on the flat and shown promise from a limited number of starts over hurdles. She is out of a half-sister to the Listed winner Tilly's Chilli and hails from a family that features an enormous number of black-type performers.

Pepper Street won a mile and three-quarter handicap at Ffos Las as a three-year-old in 2018 for Hugo Palmer from a mark of 61, and now looks extremely competitively handicapped on the level from a perch of 55.

She has also made a positive start to her career over hurdles in the past couple of seasons. She was third on her hurdling debut at Wetherby during the 2018/19 season and has shown promise in a series of runs since.

Indeed, Pepper Street's recent debut for Sam England came in a hurdle race at Catterick, where she stayed on strongly in the closing stages to finish fourth. That effort suggested she is nearing her winning turn, and her hurdles mark of 92 surely underestimates her ability. She has proven her stamina on the flat, so it could be that a step up in distance over hurdles proves of benefit in the future.
