Category: Syndicates and Shares
Date of Birth: 21 Jan 2017
Sire: MAKFI (GB)
Dam: MASAOLA (FR)
Dam Sire: ANABAA BLUE (GB)
A really well-bred, 80-rated four-year-old off the flat in France with a strong level of form to his name, Makfils looks a very exciting hurdling prospect for 2021 and beyond for leading Irish trainer Henry de Bromhead.
Makfils only made his racecourse debut in June, but was a winner off a mark of 75 at Lyon (pictured above) in September and had previously shown a solid level of form in maiden company.
A half-brother to a Listed-placed mare around Auteuil, his dam is a half-sister to two smart middle-distance performers on the flat, including the five-time Listed winner Magadino. Sire Makfi gets plenty of winning hurdlers, while damsire Anabaa Blue was a French Derby winner and is the damsire of several Graded jumpers, including Grade 1 winner Diego Du Charmil.

ABOUT PIMLICO RACING
Founded by bloodstock agent Nathaniel Barnett, Pimlico Racing is an exciting new venture, with horses in training in the UK, Ireland and France, both flat and National Hunt.
Shares start from just 2.5%, allowing members to experience the exclusivity of owning a racehorse, but at an affordable cost.
So far, three our of four Pimlico Racing horses have been winners, including debut success for Hawa Bladi in the UK in September, two wins for Pau Champion Hurdle-bound Zoffany Bay and a third in the Betfair Hurdle and class 2 handicap success with Blu Cavalier. All three were purchased for less than £8,000.
Our most recent acquisition, Schone Aussicht, finished a fine fifth of 19 in a hot maiden hurdle on her first start in Ireland (having been purchased for just €8,000) and looks a smashing prospect for the season ahead.
