Let's Be Lucky Racing is delighted to offer shares in the very exciting prospect Jump The Gun. Previously based with Jamie Osborne, his former trainer advised the Let's Be Lucky Team shortly after purchase that he rates the horse highly and thinks he will be capable of winning a big three-year-old handicap in 2020.
The horse is in training with Iain Jardine in Dumfries and Galloway, who is delighted with the purchase and excited at his prospects.
Jump The Gun is a son of the 2015 French 2,000 Guineas winner Make Believe, a sire whose profile has received an enormous boost thanks to a very classy first crop of juveniles which emerged last year. His star performers include the Grp-3 Oh So Sharp Stakes and Grp-3 Firth of Clyde Stakes heroine Rose Of Kildare, the Grp-3 Preis der Winterkonigin winner Ocean Fantasy and the Listed Prix Isonomy victor Tammani.
Although not quite at that level yet, Jump The Gun is unquestionably another talented member of the Make Believe crop. In eight starts last season he won once and was placed a further six times, showing remarkable consistency and a serious level of talent.
He made his debut in a six-furlong York maiden in May, finishing an excellent third, and on his sixth start he ran out a brilliantly impressive seven length winner of a Southwell maiden over the same distance. In between he was able to run Endless Joy to a length when finishing second in a Ffos Las nursery - with the winner going on to be placed in Grp-3 company and earn an official rating of 96.
All of these details suggest Jump The Gun is incredibly well-handicapped from his current mark of 78, and he looks sure to progress further and win many more races for his new connections this year. He is out of the Listed and Grp-2 placed mare Sound Of Guns, from a family which features numerous stakes-performers, so it is certainly not beyond the realms of possibility that he could develop into a stakes horse in time.
In a recent stable tour, trainer Iain Jardine made the following comments: 'Jump The Gun is a horse who is new to the yard having been previously trained by Jamie Osborne. He bolted up at Southwell last season, so I suspect he'll handle some give in the ground. He's been going very nicely at home and I'm looking forward to seeing him on the track.'
Don't miss out on this affordable opportunity to take a share in a horse that could take you to lots of big meetings. He's a very exciting horse and off 78 is well handicapped and his trainer rates him as a potential 90+ horse by the end of this year.
