By Champion racehorse and Grp-1 winning
sire, Farhh, and out of
a Teofilo mare, this strong, quality
filly is an exciting prospect for 2020 and beyond.
Bred by Darley and raced in the
all-blue of Godolphin, Farhh was a 7f 2-year
old winner who would remain unbeaten until his four-year-old
season. But for the fact he was unfortunate enough to hail from the
generation of the incomparable Frankel, his
Group 1 tally would surely have been higher; he was runner-up to
the highest-ever rated racehorse on two occasions
under Frankie Dettori.
With Frankel retired to stud, Farhh's 5-year-old season was to
be his most impressive. He readily won the Lockinge (1m, Good To
Firm) before gaining a battling victory in the Champion Stakes over
1m2f on soft ground; beating the top-class - and renowned mud-lover
- Cirrus Des Aigles and that year's
Derby winner, Ruler Of The World. He ended
his career as Champion older miler in Europe and Jt Champion older
horse in Europe (9.5-10.5f.) having amassed over £1.3
million in prize-money.
His stallion career has been hampered by fertility issues but
his record is exceptional. He has yielded 18% Stakes horses to
runners from his first two crops, including Dee Ex
Bee (2nd to Masar in the Derby, beating
multiple Group 1 winners Roaring Lion, Saxon
Warrior and Kew Gardens) and King
Of Change (2nd to Magna
Grecia in the 2000 Guineas and the winner of the
Group 1 QEII).
With pleasing physical credentials and an interesting pedigree
that suggests she will only improve with age, the future looks
bright for this young filly.
