Amazing Racing are syndicating a very classy-looking gelding by Heeraat. He moves very well, has a great stride, and he looks like a real racehorse. Our breeding analysis suggests his optimum trip will be six to seven-furlongs, but some of his siblings have been effective at a mile. We believe he will be a very good horse who could take syndicate members to some of the top meetings.
Heeraat won his two-year-old maiden by 11 lengths, and was rated 5lbs superior to his sire DARK ANGEL by Racehorses of 2013. He won the Grp-3 Hackwood Stakes in 2013, and came second in the same race the following year. The Dubai Duty Free Handicap Stakes and the York 800 Stakes provided further success, and he was also placed in the Grp-3 John Guest Bengough Stakes at Ascot and the Grp-3 Palace House Stakes at Newmarket.
He is a handsome stallion, with a fantastic temperament, and his bloodlines have the same Dark Angel/Green Desert cross as Lethal Force. Heeraat is a young sire, but his offspring are popular with top trainers, among them Richard Hannon, who trains Motakhayyel, a 100,000gns yearling purchase, who kicked off the 2020 Royal Ascot meeting with a gutsy win in the Buckingham Palace Handicap. That was his fourth career success from only six starts. Other notable performers include Freed From Desire who won as a two-year-old and later enjoyed Listed success in the Bloomers' Vase, and the 102-rated Aberama Gold, who won the Listed Rockingham Stakes at York.
His dam is Almaviva, a lightly-raced mare who won impressively on her two-year-old debut at Newmarket for trainer Jeremy Noseda. As a broodmare, her yearlings have always been popular at the sales, and she has produced four winners, the most prolific being Indian Jack, who achieved a best Racing Post Rating of 98, winning 6 races and £43,976. Other winners were Privileged (RPR 85), Indian Trifone (RPR 75), and her most recent yearling Bermuda Schwartz (RPR 78) which was sold to trainer Richard Hughes for 38,000 guineas as a yearling, and won over a mile as a two-year-old; so she has produced some quality offspring.
This unnamed gelding will be trained by DAVID EVANS, near Abergavenny in South Wales.
