GB Horse Racing Services are delighted to offer the FINAL share for sale in their latest exciting recruit, a stunning two-year-old filly by Twilight Son!
This outstanding individual is fully qualified for the £20,000 GBB scheme and is set to go into training with Joe Tuite in Lambourn. A 10% share is priced at £3,000 plus £220 per month.
Joe and GB Horse Racing teamed up this year with the Belardo filly Lullaby Moon. Having been bought for just 16,000gns, Joe prepared her to win comfortably at Goodwood on her debut. She subsequently changed hands privately and has gone on to place in Grp-3 company and win the lucrative Listed Redcar Two-Year-Old Trophy. Here is to more of the same this time around!
Sourced at the recent Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, this February-born filly is out of the unraced Arcano mare Early Start.
The mare's only previous runner is the Mick Channon-trained Rommel, who won a seven-furlong Lingfield maiden on his second start and has placed on several other occasions as a two-year-old this season.
It has also been a breakthrough year for Arcano in the broodmare sire division. His daughters are responsible for the exceptional juvenile Supremacy, winner of the Grp-1 Middle Park Stakes and Grp-2 Richmond Stakes, and the high-class Irish mare Lemista, who won the Grp-2 Kilboy Estate Stakes at the Curragh in July.
Early Start is also the product of a very smart family on the distaff side. Out of the Barathea mare Up And About, she has eight winning siblings including the stakes-placed pair Take It To The Max and Wake Up Call, the latter of whom went on to produce the Listed-winning and Grp-2 placed Zaman.
Further black-type earning descendants of Up And About include the Grp-3 winner Summer Fete, the Listed winner Mountain Prize, the Grp-2 and Royal Ascot-winning Champion Two-Year-Old Filly Raffle Prize and the US Grade-2 scorer Up In Time.
This quality pedigree is also going to benefit from the influence of the covering sire Twilight Son. A grandson of the great Pivotal, he was trained by Henry Candy to win the Grp-1 Haydock Sprint Cup at three and the Grp-1 Diamond Jubilee Stales at four, prior to retiring to Cheveley Park Stud.
A sire with a proven commercial track record - his progeny have auctioned for up to 210,000gns this year - his first crop emerged onto racecourses only this season. A plethora of individual winners has followed, including the Grp-3 heroine Aria Importante and the Listed-placed Grammata. He has certainly posted a highly satisfactory debut season but with the promise of significantly more to come.
This super filly ticks all the right boxes and can be viewed as a seriously exciting prospect for 2021, particularly as she is based with a team that has a proven track record with this sort of venture.
