Hope Eden Racing presents an exciting opportunity to take shares in a stunning two-year-old filly by Scat Daddy's emerging stallion son El Kabeir. She is based with trainer John Quinn in Malton, and share options start at £2,000 upfront for 5% plus £150 per month thereafter.
Sourced at the Tattersalls Ireland Goresbridge Breeze-up Sale recently (which was relocated to Newmarket this year), this April 2019 foal is out of the high-quality proven winner-producer Carallia.
A daughter of the noted broodmare sire Common Grounds, Carallia was a winner on debut for John Oxx and the Aga Khan over six-furlongs, before placing in Listed company on her second start. She has gone on to provide five winners as a broodmare so far.
Her most notable progeny is the Grp-3 Ballyogan Stakes and Listed Flying Fillies Stakes heroine Divinely, though she is also responsible for the nine-time winner and one-time 98-rated Alejandro and Carazam, who was a debutant two-year-old winner before running with credit in stakes company.
There is a genuine depth of quality to this family, with countless black-type performers featuring in the first few generations. Carallia is a half-sister to the Grp-1 Prix de la Foret winner and sire Caradak, whilst Nunthorpe winner Margot Did and her US Grade-1 winning daughter Magic Attitude also feature under the third dam.
Clearly this filly hails from an excellent tail line, whilst her sire El Kabeir's profile continues to grow as his first crop runners begin to impress on track.
Resident at Yeomanstown Stud in Ireland, El Kabeir was a multiple Graded Stakes winner (including the Grade-2 Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes) and was the great Scat Daddy's best ever two-year-old son trained in America.
His yearlings sold for up to 180,000gns in the major sales rings last autumn and have made up to £145,000 at the Breeze-Ups this spring. From a handful of runners he has already been represented by Don Chicco, a winner at Capannelle in Italy, and Masekela, who impressed when making a winning debut for Andrew Balding at Goodwood last month and is now likely to have loftier targets on his horizon.
