Mildmay Racing offer shares for sale in this attractive, well-grown and athletic two-year-old filly by Due Diligence. A sharp type who should be quite early coming out in May/June time of next year, she is currently in pre-training and will go into full training in January.
She is the first foal out of Quite A Story, a Mildmay home bred by the top-class sprinter Equiano. He won the Grp-1 King's Stand Stakes over five-furlongs at three and five years and at stud he is the sire of 27 Group and Stakes winners including the triple Grp-1 winning sprinter The Tin Man.
Quite A Story is the third foal of the stakes-placed mare Perfect Story, who ran 25 times and won four races and almost £40,000 in win and place prizemoney. Perfect Story was placed a further 13 times including when second in the Listed Kilvington Fillies' Stakes, and is a half-sister to the dam of the Grp-2 winning sprinter Mr Lupton.
For her part, Quite A Story won twice over six-furlongs and is a half-sister to the nine-time winner and course record breaker Perfect Cracker, as well as the winners Tanseeb and The Caretaker.
The sire Due Diligence is a son of the exceptional War Front and out of the stakes-winning mare Bema. Having won in the US at two, he later transferred to Aidan O'Brien, for whom he was the top-rated three-year-old sprinter in Ireland in 2014. His career highlights included an easy win in the Listed Lacken Stakes at Naas and a second place finish behind Slade Power in the Grp-1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.
He made an excellent start at stud with 19 winners from his first crop in 2019, including three stakes-winners and eight multiple-winners. These winners were almost exclusively over five or six-furlongs.
This attractive filly, who is EBF and BC registered, and is eligible for the Tattersalls £150k sales race and fully qualified for the Great British Bonus of £20,000, has a nice speedy pedigree and will provide her owners with much anticipation ahead of the 2021 flat season.
