Trained initally by Brian Meehan, Fast Company got off the mark on racecourse debut when taking a seven-furlong Salisbury maiden by seven lengths.
That impressive victory set him up for a tilt at the Grp-3 Acomb Stakes at York, which he won in even more impressive fashion. One more juvenile run followed in the Grp-1 Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket, where Fast Company finished a tremendous half length second to the subsequent Derby winner New Approach.
Those in behind Fast Company that day included the future Breeders' Cup Classic hero Raven's Pass and the Grp-1 winning two-year-olds Rio de La Plata and Dark Angel. In short, it was a run which demonstrated that he was a colt out of the top drawer.
A high profile move to Godolphin followed, but regrettably injuries prevented Fast Company from racing again. However, as a Grp-3 winning and Grp-1 placed son of confirmed sire of sires Danehill Dancer, a breeding career inevitably followed.
He began his stallion career at a fee of €5,000, and his first-crop featured the high-class Baitha Alga, winner of the Listed Woodcote Stakes at Epsom and Grp-2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot. Indeed, dozens of individual winners emerged from that first band of runners, also including the smart mare Devonshire, who would go on to finish third in the 2015 Irish 1,000 Guineas and win in Grp-2 company.
Better was to follow from Fast Company's second crop though, as the brillliant Jet Setting took her first steps on a racecourse. Although nothing out of the ordinary as a two-year-old, she improved out of all recognition the following year to lift the 2016 Irish 1,000 Guineas, defeating Minding in the process.
In the years since Fast Company has continued to elevate his reputation thanks to star progeny such as Robert Bruce, a top-class performer in Chile who went on to win the Grade-1 Arlington Million in the US and Safe Voyage, winner of the Grp-3 John of Gaunt Stakes and third in the Grp-1 QEII Stakes.
Fast Company is a stallion at the top of his game and whose star continues to rise. Please get in touch for more information regarding this exciting opportunity.
