2019 Filly by Heeraat (Ire) ex Fairmont (Ire)

A superb two-year-old filly by Heeraat, out of a proven Kingmambo mare, is offered for sale at £5,000 ONO. Trained by Brian Barr in Dorset, she is only available to stay in the yard. 

Renowned speed source Heeraat enjoyed a stellar year in 2020. His son Motakhayyel gave him a breakthrough Royal Ascot success in the reinstated Buckingham Palace Handicap, before following up in the Bunbury Cup at Newmarket's July meeting. He was awarded a rating of 112 following those victories and now seems highly likely to make his mark in stakes company.

The dam of this filly, Fairmont, only ran once but has since gone on to prove herself a most capable broodmare. She is notably well-bred, whilst her sire Kingmambo has few peers in the damsire department, with his daughters responsible for the likes of Duke of Marmalade, Camelot, Ulysses, Ruler of The World and Midday, plus many more.

From just seven runners Fairmont has produced five winning offspring, whilst the other two have both placed.

Her successful progeny include the nine-time winning sprinter Cappananty Con, the 87-rated two-time scorer Fair Ranger and the wonderfully versatile Becky The Thatcher, who won three times on the flat and four over hurdles, earning a peak mark of 134 over obstacles.

Fairmont's latest runner, Master Of Brazil, was placed in all four starts last season for Michael Bell before selling for 30,000gns to one of the biggest stables in the UAE.

Clearly, Fairmont's record speaks for itself and she produces tough, sound and genuine horses that know how to win. She also has a yearling filly by Ardad and is now in foal to the exciting Havana Grey, so plenty of pedigree updates are expected in the coming seasons.

This correct and vice-free filly is as wide as she is tall and looks to be all speed. She takes everything in her stride and is going to be an early sort who will be ready to run when the new season gets underway!
