2019 Filly by Fountain of Youth (Ire) ex Ambella (Ire)

An attractive two-year-old filly by Fountain of Youth out of a Dark Angel mare is offered for sale. A May foal, she is named Bear and the asking price is £10,000.

The dam Ambella was the winner of a mile handicap for Ian Williams as a three-year-old, and also finished placed on several other occasions from just 13 starts.

Ambella has gone on to produce two runners, notably a three-year-old full-sister to the yearling for sale - named Favourite Niece - who was placed as a two-year-old last year. 

Ambella is in turn out of the Mujadil mare Showmesomething, who was a half-sister to the 100+ flat horse, Grade-2 winning hurdler and dual Grade-1 winning chaser Kempes. The Listed winner Lucky Serena is another near relation.

The sire Fountain of Youth is a son of Oasis Dream out of the brilliant racemare Attraction. He was a talented performer in his own right, winning the Grp-3 (now Grp-2) Sapphire Stakes over five-furlongs for Aidan O'Brien, and his illustrious pedigree dictated that a breeding career would follow.

Based at Bearstone Stud, his first runners emerged onto the racecourse last season and quickly displayed plenty of potential. His most notable performers to date include Gravity Force, who was fourth in the Grp-3 Horris Hill Stakes, and the triple-winning filly (including on juvenile debut) Three Coins.
