2019 Colt by Heeraat (Ire) ex Piranha (Ire)

A well-handled yearling colt by Heeraat is offered for sale at the extremely competitive price of £3,000.

Standing around 15.2hh and with a very willing attitude, he is out of the Exceed And Excel mare Piranha. She was a £75,000 breeze-up purchase who went on to win twice as a two-year-old at five-furlongs.

Since having her attentions switched to breeding Piranha has produced three winners, including the Listed-placed Go On Go On Go On. Her other successful progeny include Dahawi, a full-brother to the yearling for sale who has won on three occasions including earlier this year prior to lockdown. She also has a two-year-old filly by Heeraat currently in training in England. 

Piranha's dam Mosaique Beauty was a full-sister to the US Grade-1 and Royal Ascot winner Subtle Power and the Grp-1 placed Mutahadee, whilst there are numerous other black-type performers to be found in the pedigree.

The covering sire Heeraat is enjoying an excellent season, thanks chiefly to the exploits of his son Motakhayyel. He landed the Buckingham Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot and the Bunbury Cup at Newmarket's July Festival, and is now rated 111 and is on the verge of making a name for himself in pattern company. The sire's other progeny includes the Listed winning two-year-old Aberama Gold.
