Deva Racing is delighted to offer shares for sale in an exciting two-year-old filly by Fast Company. This attractive and racy looking May-foaled youngster is out of a mare that earned multiple black-type rosettes and hails from a terrific family. She will be trained by Grp-1 and Classic winning trainer Tom Dascombe from his Cheshire base.
A recent purchase by the highly successful and well-established Deva Racing Group, this yearling filly is a sibling of the highly promising Brazen Beau two-year-old He's A Keeper. That colt, who is also trained by Tom, was the four length winner of a Haydock novice earlier this month and is set to step up to Listed company next week.
Their dam Silver Grey was a smart performer for trainer Roger Ingram. She was precocious enough to win a six-furlong novice on her second appearance at two and progressed to the extent that she finished second in the Grp-3 Prix Thomas Byron over a mile later in the year. The following season she was third in the Listed John Musker Stakes at Yarmouth and she twice finished fourth in Grp-3 company in France, at up to a mile and a quarter.
Silver Grey is a half-sister to the Listed-placed Kodiva, whilst their unraced dam Operissimo was out of the exceptional Negligent. She won the Grp-3 Rockfel Stakes on her way to being crowned the Champion English Two-Year-Old filly of 1989, before finishing third in the 1,000 Guineas the following spring.
Further high-class performers to emerge from this branch of the family include the brilliant Sky Lantern, winner of the Grp-1 1,000 Guineas, Coronation Stakes and Moyglare Stakes, the Grp-3 winner and Grp-1 placed Blatant, the Grp-3 winner and Grp-1 placed Songlark (a full-sister to Operissimo), the Grp-3 Queens Vase Stakes hero Shanty Star and the Grp-3 Round Tower Stakes winner Arctic.
The quality of this female line is complemented by the influence of a terrific sire. Fast Company won the Grp-3 Acomb Stakes and was runner-up in the Grp-1 Dewhurst Stakes during a lamentably short racing career but has not let that halt his progress at stud.
He stood at a career-high fee of €12,000 at Kildangan Stud during the 2019 covering season, and his offspring remain coveted assets at Europe's major sales. His numerous classy progeny include the Grp-1 Irish 1,000 Guineas heroine Jet Setting, the Grade-1 Arlington Million victor Robert The Bruce and this season's Grp-3 John of Gaunt Stakes winner Safe Voyage.
This attractive, athletic and extremely exciting filly offers prospective shareholders a wonderful and affordable opportunity to buy into a high-class and prolific black-type family.
