The eight-time winning seven-year-old Orientor mare Oriental Lilly is offered for sale as a broodmare prospect.
Trained throughout her career by Jim Goldie, Oriental Lilly was a tough and consistent performer who compiled a tremendous racing CV. She won her first race over five-furlongs at Newcastle as a three-year-old and before long had completed a quickfire hat-trick at the venue.
She would go on to win twice more at Newcastle later in her career, as well as adding further victories at Ayr (twice) and Redcar. A genuine and versatile sort, she was effective from five to seven-furlongs, achieved a peak BHA rating of 83 and Racing Post Rating of 89, and retired with career earnings approaching £65,000.
A notably attractive and good-sized individual, Oriental Lilly won the best turned out award numerous times in her career. She is also blessed with a fine temperament and no vices, whilst a quick glance at her pedigree suggests she is extremely well-qualified for a breeding career.
She is a full-sister to the dual winner Sound of Iona and a half-sister to the four-time scorer Eternalist, by Equiano. Meanwhile, their multiple winning dam Eternal Instinct is in turn a half-sister to the Grp-3 Chipchase Stakes, Listed Cammidge Trophy and Listed Wentworth Stakes (twice) winner Jack Dexter (by Orientor), who was also runner-up in the British Champions Sprint on Champions Day.
The next generation of the family features multiple black-type
performers, whilst Orientor's first representative as a broodmare
sire was a winner in France in 2020.
Oriental Lilly was a useful performer on the track who hails from a fast, classy and reliable family. She looks sure to develop into a very smart broodmare granted the right opportunities; please get in touch for more details.
