Killer Queen (GB)

The six-year-old Havana Gold mare Killer Queen is available for sale. She raced a handful of times and now a breeding career awaits; she is offered in foal to Yorgunnabelucky.

She is out of the Listed-winning and Grp-3 placed Radio Gaga and is therefore a half-sister to the seven-furlong maiden winner Millionaire Waltz.

Radio Gaga is in turn a sibling of the Grp-3 winning filly Ardbrae Lady, who was also runner-up in the Irish 1,000 Guineas, the Listed-winner Obe Gold and the Listed-placed Under My Spell. This prolific family features several other black-type performers.

Killer Queen's sire Havana Gold was a Grp-1 winning miler on the track and is now developing into a high-quality stallion. From just four crops of racing age he is responsible for the Grp-1 winner and sire Havana Grey as well as further stakes-winners Tabdeed, Treasuring, Hariboux, Barade, Havana View and Headway.

Although yet to be represented in the broodmare sire division, Havana Gold's ability to produce a smart filly has not gone unnoticed. His daughters sold for up to 120,000gns at the 2019 edition of the Tattersalls December Mare Sale and his influence in that sphere looks sure to continue to grow.

Killer Queen is sold with the added bonus of a cover to the stallion Yorgunnabelucky, who has been posting some eyecatching results in recent months. The Mickley Stud resident is responsible for several multiple-winners on the flat from a small number of runners, whilst his daughter Fortunes Melody won a Listed hurdle and has been Grade-2 placed in France in recent months.
