Eternalist (GB)

The eight-year-old Equiano mare Eternalist is offered for sale. She hails from an excellent sprinting family, is a nice-natured mare who is very good with her foals and has no vices, and looks to have an excellent breeding future. She is currently in foal to Orientor. 

Eternalist was trained by Jim Goldie to win four times over the minimum trip of five-furlongs. A consistent performer, she was rarely out of the frame during a three-season career, was effective on both turf and the AW and earned the better part of £25,000 in win and place prizemoney.

Since retiring from the track Eternalist has produced both a yearling filly and colt foal by Orientor, and as referenced above she has taken extremely well to motherhood.

She is a half-sister to the eight-time winner Oriental Lilly (with earnings of close to £65,000) and the dual winner Sounds of Iona, whilst her multiple-winning dam Eternal Instinct is a sibling of the Grp-3 and multiple Listed-winning (as well as Grp-2 placed) sprinter Jack Dexter.

It is also worth noting the developing record of Equiano as a broodmare sire. He enjoyed something of a breakthrough in that department in 2020, with one of his daughters responsible for the Grp-3 Molecomb Stakes winner Steel Bull.
