The 11-year-old Beat All mare Celtic
Jill is available for auction. She is sold with the added
bonus of a cover to the talented young sire
Heeraat.
Celtic Jill was unraced but nonetheless hails from a very smart NH
family. She is a sibling of seven winners including
Pineapple Rush, who gained valuable black-type
when placed in a Listed bumper at Cheltenham, Ace
High, who was a 142-rated chaser at his peak, and
Premier Bond, who won four times in total and was
a narrow third in the Kim Muir at the 2017 Cheltenham
Festival.
Their dam Celtic Native was a high-class mare who
won 10 races in total over jumps - including eight of her first
nine starts - and was good enough to finish third in the Grade-1
Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot behind the outstanding Champion staying
hurdler Baracouda.
The extended pedigree can be traced back to the Grand National
winner Red Marauder and the Grade-2 winning
chasers Dunraven Storm and Red
Striker.
Celtic Jill produced a filly to Multiplex in
2017 and has given a colt and two fillies by
Yorgunnabelucky in the years since. Although yet
to be represented by a runner, she is clearly the product of a
first-rate family and there is little doubt that she retains a good
deal of potential as a breeding mare.
Her sire Beat All is currently represented in the broodmare sire
division by the 135-rated chaser Encore Champs and
the 140-rated Freewheelin Dylan, despite very
limited opportunities, whilst the promise of a foal by Heeraat adds
significantly to Celtic Jill's appeal.
The Mickley Stud-based sire has enjoyed
a stellar 2020, with his son Motakhayyel securing a first Royal
Ascot success for the sire in Buckingham Palace Handicap, before
following up in the Bunbury Cup. Furthermore, as a son of the
extraordinarily versatile Dark Angel (sprinting two-year-old turned
sire of Grade-1 horses over jumps) he is the sort of stallion that
promises to suit any type of mare.
Celtic Jill is an attractive mare with a cracking page and bidding
commences at a very realistic level. Please get in touch for
any further details.
