The 10-year-old Dansili mare Candoluminescence is offered for sale at £6,000 OVNO. Her stunning filly foal by Mukhadram is included in the sale, whilst the mare is currently in foal to Tasleet.
Bred and raced by The Queen, Candoluminescence was a talented performer when in training with Roger Charlton. She was placed in several handicaps as a three-year-old, and demonstrated herself to be a genuine and consistent performer over the course of nine starts.
Since having her attentions switched to breeding she has produced foals by Lilbourne Lad, Mukhadram (twice) and Charming Thought. Although she has been only represented by a single runner to date, her excellent pedigree strongly suggests she will make the grade as a broodmare.
Candoluminescence is a sibling of five winners out of the Darshaan mare Flash Of Gold. Her half-brothers Mustard, Fire Streak and Moidore were all rated 90 or above on the flat, whilst her winning half-sister Going For Gold has gone on to produce the Listed-placed Chicadoro.
Flash Of Gold was a sibling of the dual Grp-2 winner Phantom Gold, the US Grade-3 winner Fictitious and the Listed-placed Tempting Prospect. All three of those just mentioned went on to produce black-type performers, with numerous other stakes earners emerging from their descendants.
In addition to fine breeding credentials in her own right, this deal is significantly enhanced by the cover to Tasleet and the fact that Candoluminescence's filly foal is included in the sale.
Mukhadram won the Grp-1 Eclipse Stakes during a long and distinguished racing career, and has quickly established himself as a sire of serious merit. Although his eldest crop are only four, he has already been represented by numerous stakes earners, including the Grp-3 winner A Bit Special and the Listed-winning and Grp-2 placed Romsey, who finished fifth in the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket earlier this season.
Mukhadram commands a covering fee of £6,000 and his progeny realised up to €72,000 at the 2019 round of yearling sales, whilst his yearling sales average remains well in excess of the combined asking price here.
Fellow Nunnery Stud resident Tasleet was a Grp-2 winning and Grp-1 placed sprinter, who had his first foals on the ground this year. A son of Showcasing and from the family of Battaash, he has also been standing the 2020 season at a fee of £6,000 and the presence of his unborn foal enhances the appeal of Candoluminescence enormously.
The mare and foal are offered together as a package deal at the advertised price; however, the vendor would also consider selling the mare separately. Please get in touch for more information.
