We purchased this colt for €65,000 at the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale. Although he is eligible for the €300,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Race, his pedigree suggests he might be more of a middle distance type. He is by the multiple Group 1-winning globetrotter Highland Reel, a ten times winner including seven at Group 1 level. Interestingly, he also won a Group 2 as a two-year-old at Glorious Goodwood. His oldest crop are three-year-olds and they include this colt’s highly promising full-brother Inverness, who is already rated 94.

The dam, Four Eleven won in her native USA and is by the outstanding broodmare sire Arch. She has produced three winners to date including the useful Glen Again and L’Aigle, as well as the aforementioned Inverness. She is a half-sister to the Prix des Reservoirs (Group 3) winner Summertime Legacy who is the dam of the Criterium de Saint-Cloud (Group 1) winner Mandaean and the Prix Saint-Alary (Group 1) heroine Wavering. This is also the family of the very fast and precocious Earthlight.

This colt’s broodmare sire Arch is one of my favourite broodmare sires anywhere, his second dam is by the outstanding El Gran Senor. His third dam bred Derby winner Golden Fleece. This could be KVT’s shot at the big time especially considering his full-brother Inverness is so promising and progressive. If you like middle distance or staying horses this handsome horse is definitely one to get into.”

 

TERMS:
This will be a 16 share Partnership at £9,400 per share with the first payment due on signing of £7,000 and the balance of £2,400 due on 31st March 2023.
