The dam, Sahara Sky, is an unraced half-sister to the Champion three-year-old Sprinter Owington. She has produced five winners to date, including the Group 1-winning two-year-old Dick Whittington, who also won the Phoenix Stakes. She has also produced the 103-rated Winning Ways and the 93-rated Sign From Heaven.

This colt will be trained by Charlie and Mark Johnston, who loved him, and felt he was an ideal sort for the Tattersalls Book 1 Bonus. The Johnston’s record of winning Tattersalls Book 1 Bonuses has only been surpassed by Charlie Appleby and Aiden O’Brien but the average purchase price of their winners is around 10% of those from Appleby’s and O’Brien’s yards!
