A liver chestnut yearling filly by Steele Tango out of the three-time winner Many Welcomes is offered for sale.
The mare won over six-furlongs at three, and then added two more handicaps at up to seven and a half furlongs as a four-year-old. She proved her soundness, versatility and consistency during a 27-race career, placing on a further 10 occasions.
Many Welcomes has produced four foals so far, including this youngster's full-sister Little Miss Tango, who showed a hint of promise on her third start when fifth over nine and a half furlongs at Wolverhampton last year. Many Welcomes certainly hails from a prolific family, as her half-sister Compton Spirit was a nine-time winner over five-furlongs, whilst another sibling Not Allowed won eight times in Germany.
The family traces back to the Grp-1 winning matriarch Sweet Emma.
Steele Tango was a high-class performer at nine to ten-furlongs, winning the Grp-3 Earl of Sefton Stakes, twice at the Dubai Carnival and also finishing fifth in Sea The Stars' Eclipse. He won five of his 31 starts in total, placed on a further 10 occasions - often in extremely warm company - and collected over £330,000 in prize money in the process.
His unraced dam was a sibling of the Grp-1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches heroine Valentine Waltz and the US Grade-1 winner Sense Of Style, whilst his further near relations include the outstanding sprinter and leading sire Last Tycoon. Clearly, Steele Tango boasts a stallion's pedigree, and his first handful of runners have included the promising Tin Fandango, who was runner-up on both of his starts so far in 2019.
This youngster has plenty to recommend her and is very competitively priced.
