Date of Birth: 06 Mar 2017
Sire: Lethal Force (IRE)
Dam: Canukeepasecret (GB)
Dam Sire: Mind Games (GB)
A March-foaled yearling colt by Lethal Force is offered for sale.
A good-bodied colt, he has plenty of size and scope and his sire ensures that he is the sort that will continue to progress physically.
He is out of the Mind Games mare Canukeepasecret. She was unraced but does not lack for pedigree. Her dam Our Little Secret won the Listed City Wall Stakes at Chester, whilst her five winning siblings include the Grp-2 Temple Stakes winner and Grp-1 placed Pearl Secret, who is now a sire.
The family traces back to the prolific Palacegate Episode, who won in Grp-3 company and numerous times at Listed level, before producing the Grp-3 winner King Quantas. Other near relatives include the Grp-1 Middle Park and Grp-1 Prix Morny winner and sire Dutch Art, the Grp-2 winner and Grp-1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches runner-up Up, the multiple Listed-winner Palacegate Jack and the Listed-winner and Grp-3 placed Another Episode.
The broodmare sire Mind Games has produced the dams of the Grp-1 (then) Gran Criterium winner Hearts of Fire and the Grp-3 Chipchase Stakes winner Aeolus.
The sire Lethal Force won the Grp-1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes and the Grp-1 July Cup at four years. He now stands at Cheveley Park Stud and his first crop hit the track last season. His progeny are notably attractive and athletic and regularly fetch six figures in the sales ring.
As a smart two-year-old that continued to develop until peaking as an older horse, the best is probably yet to be seen of his offspring. However, he has already been represented by the Grp-3 placed Would Be King and Mokaatil and the Listed-placed Lethal Steps. His son Konchek is one of the most promising juveniles seen out this year, winning impressively at Newmarket on debut and placing in the Listed National Stakes on his second start.
This youngster has excellent prospects. His 2013 sibling by Compton Place fetched £58,000 in 2014, whilst his three-year-old half-sister by Kyllachy realised £66,000 in 2016. She is now in training with Marcus Tregoning and owned by Hamdan Al Maktoum.
