Date of Birth: 28 Jan 2017
Sire: Hot Streak (IRE)
Dam: Omaha Gold (IRE)
Dam Sire: Kodiac (GB)
A bay colt from the first crop of yearlings by the Tweenhills Farm & Stud resident Hot Streak is offered for sale.
There are high expectations for the imposing chestnut stallion, as he was a very fast Grp-3 winning and Grp-1 placed two-year-old, that went on to win the Grp-2 Temple Stakes and finish third in the Grp-1 King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot as a three-year-old. His progeny have realised as much as £75,000 in the auction ring already and he has the looks and pedigree to make him a commercial and racecourse success.
A son of confirmed sire of sires Iffraaj (think Wootton Bassett, sire of Almanzor), from the near family of leading stallions Nashwan, Nayef and Unfuwain, he appears impeccably credentialed for his second career.
This young colt is out of the mare Omaha Gold, who won over five-furlongs as a juvenile and was placed a further three times, from just seven lifetime starts. She is in turn by the record-breaking sire Kodiac, whose continued prowess with Grp-1 fillies such as Tiggy Wiggy, Besharah and Fairyland strongly suggests that he will become a broodmare sire of note in the years to come.
Omaha Gold is also a half-sister to the two-year-old winner Outside Edge, from the further family of Grp-3 Princess Royal Stakes heroine Narwala. That mare would go on to produce several winners, including the Grp-2 Prix Hubert de Chaudenay winner and sire Affidavit. Her further descendants and relations include the Grp-2 Prix de Sandringham heroine and Grp-1 placed Maiden Tower, the Italian Grp-3 winner Aynthia, the Grp-1 placed Copperbeech and the multiple Group-race winner and Grp-1 placed Narniyn.
With winners in every generation of this family, the pairing of Omaha Gold and Hot Streak looks an exciting one. Don't let this impressive colt slip your grasp.
