Sire: Coach House (IRE)
Dam: Bengers Lass (USA)
Dam Sire: Orientate (USA)
An imposing chestnut colt by Coach House is offered for sale.
A good looker with some distinctive markings, the colt is out of the Orientate mare Bengers Lass, who has produced one winner from four runners to date. Her 2013 foal Chassis is a winner in Italy, whilst her 2016 colt Spirit Of May was second on racecourse debut in May of this year, proving the mare's ability to get a fast and early two-year-old.
As well as a solid track record as a broodmare, Bengers Lass is blessed with an eyecatching pedigree featuring numerous black-type performers. Her Kingmambo half-sister Queen's Love was a Listed winner over a mile, whilst their dam Wiedniu was a high-class three-year-old. She finished second in the Grp-3 Fred Darling Stakes, a noted 1,000 Guineas trial, before later placing in the Grp-2 (then) Falmouth Stakes under Lester Piggott and fourth in the Grp-1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot behind the great Marling.
The further you delve into the family the more Stakes-winners you find, which explains why Bengers Lass' siblings Queen's Love and Menadha both auctioned for six-figure sums as yearlings. In addition, Orientate is the broodmare sire of Grade-1 winners Long On Value and Shanghai Bobby, all details which underline the fact that this youngster is on offer at below market value.
The sire Coach House was a speedy two-year-old for Aidan O'Brien in 2013, winning the Listed Marble Hill Stakes and finishing second in the Grp-2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot. He has got off to a good start with his first crop runners, the likes of More Than Likely and I Believe In You winning on multiple occasions to prove the potency of the sire, whilst his stock have turned heads in the sales ring, auctioning for up to £125,000 in the last year.
Likely to make a nice early juvenile, this youngster hails from an enduring family and is the product of a promising young sire. He is not to be missed.
