This elegant and attractive yearling has been selected for purchase, and will be trained by multiple Group-1 winning trainer Clive Cox.
She is a daughter of exciting young stallion Es Que Love. Broken in already, this March foal shows a real aptitude for her work, and has all the required attributes for a successful racehorse. She is athletic and racy, and also has the pedigree to suggest she will make good on her early promise.
She is a daughter of the Indian Ridge mare Tallassee, who was placed at three years over eleven-furlongs, from a very limited number of opportunities. She is a full-sister to the high-class and notably tough Group-2 and multiple Group-3 winner Handsome Ridge - who went onto covering duties after his racing career was over.
They are both out of Red Rose Garden, a smart two-year-old on the track who has produced three winners in total. Tallassee has already made an impact as a broodmare, as she has foaled four winners.
These include Majestic Dream, a three-time winner up to seven-furlongs who has been rated as high as 86. He was sharp enough to win twice as a two-year-old, whilst his half brother Ninefineirishmen was runner-up on his second start at two-years - and went on to win over seven-furlongs as a three-year-old.
The stallion Es Que Love will have his first racecourse representatives next season, and his runners are awaited with anticipation. He was a useful two-year-old, who graduated to competing in high class handicaps as a three and four-year-old.
However, when he was switched to the care of Clive Cox for his five-year-old campaign he reached new heights - confirming himself a high class performer when winning the Group-2 Lennox Stakes over seven-furlongs. He is from an exceptional family, as a son of French 2000 Guineas winner Clodovil and a half brother to the Listed placed Royal Hunt Cup winner Zhui Feng and Grade-1 Hong Kong Vase winner Dominant.
The Clodovil-Indian Ridge cross that this filly represents has already accounted for the Group-1 Falmouth Sakes winner Nahoodh - amongst numerous others - whilst it is surely significant that trainer Clive Cox has picked out a daughter of his former star inmate Es Que Love.
