Category: Unraced horses
Date of Birth: 29 Mar 2017
Sire: Hallowed Crown (AUS)
Dam: Sarah Ann (IRE)
Dam Sire: Orpen (USA)
A lovely-moving filly by Hallowed Crown is offered for sale.
The dam Sarah Ann was very lightly-raced, but counts amongst her siblings the Grp-3 winner and Grp-2 placed Wild Passion and the Stakes-placed White And Black. She hails from an excellent and enduring German family, which features the Grp-1 placed performers Wild Coco, Win For Sure, White Rose and Path Wind.
Sarah Ann is by the noted broodmare sire Orpen (his mares have produced the likes of Grade-1 Arlington Million winner Robert Bruce and multiple Japanese Grade-1 winner Satono Diamond amongst dozens of pattern winners), whilst another of her siblings, White And Red, has gone on to success as the dam of now 112-rated Vintager, who promises to add to the page in future.
Clearly the mare hails from a fine line of producers, and her unraced progeny can be awaited with excitement. This filly is her third foal to date, her previous progeny including Casaclare, who was placed twice from six starts on the flat, and stayed up to a mile and a half. Her second foal Olympic Star, by Olympic Glory, is in training with Stefano Botti.
The sire Hallowed Crown was a Grp-1 winner at seven-furlongs and a mile in Australia, and will be represented by his first crop of runners in 2019. He is a son of the increasingly influential Street Sense out of a Danehill mare that was a Grp-3 winner and placed in the Grp-1 Golden Slipper - Australia's most prestigious juvenile contest. With such pedigree credentials and a superb racing record, it is little surprise that he is being talked of as a hot prospect for the seasons to come, and already his yearlings have realised well in excess of A$200,000 in the auction ring.
With a fine pedigree backing up her impressive good looks and imposing physique, it is easy to imagine this filly making up into a very useful performer. Don't miss out!
