Date of Birth: 16 May 2015
Sire: Imperial Monarch (IRE)

Dam Sire: Acclamation (GB)
A four-year-old gelding by Imperial Monarch is offered for sale. He is trained by Neil King of Ridgeway Racing, who is based at Upper Herdswick Farm on the Marlborough Downs, which boasts outstanding private facilities.
The sire was the winner of the Grp-1 Grand Prix de Paris when trained by Aidan O'Brien. He was retired to the Beeches Stud, which is home to numerous other exciting NH sires and his first foals turned three last year.
His dam Ionian Sea was an exceptional broodmare, that produced multiple Stakes winners, and is a half-sister to the Derby runner-up Blue Stag and the Prix du Jockey Club second Oscar. The last-named has gone on to the pinnacle of NH breeding, as the sire of Champion Chase winner Big Zeb, Champion Hurdle winner Rock On Ruby, Gold Cup hero Lord Windermere and the Irish National winner Our Duke, amongst many others. If Imperial Monarch achieves a fraction of that success then he will offer breeders a fantastic option for their mares.
The mare of this youngster is Mount Radhwa, a daughter of Acclamation. Although that bloodline doesn't scream NH, she is a half-sister to the very smart bumper performer Doctor Livingstone, who also placed over hurdles and fences. A young mare who has had just a couple of foals, and out of an excellent broodmare sire, she remains a decent breeding prospect.
This four-year-old was purchased at the Goffs Spring Store Sale and arrived at Ridgeway with a clean bill of health but unbroken. He has since been broken in, ridden around the farm and popped over a few poles. He is doing everything right so far and is on course to contest bumpers in the new season. He looks sure to offer connections a lot of excitement in the years to come.
He is for sale as a whole, but connections are open to discussions regarding share options.
