One share remains in the four-time placed three-year-old filly Lippy Lady, a daughter of the 2018 first season sire sensation Bungle Inthejungle. She is trained by the Devon-based Paul George, who has hit the headlines with a superb run of results since taking out his licence in mid-summer.
Lippy Lady was precocious enough to make her debut in March of last year, and it didn't take long for her to show some decent form. She demonstrated her strong temperament and character when taken to France for her second outing, and was an excellent third at Chepstow over five-furlongs on her fourth. She was in fact placed on three of her next four starts during the summer, all at either five or six-furlongs.
Her most recent run on March 11th showed she is again finding her form when she ran a fine race to finish a close-up fourth behind Run and Genesis, beaten only threequarters of a length after being squeezed for room.
Any concerns that she might be an early two-year-old that doesn't go on are alleviated by the exploits of her sire Bungle Inthejungle. He was an early and extensively raced two-year-old, but he trained on to finish just five lengths behind Sole Power in the Grp-1 King's Stand Stakes at three. Meanwhile, his incredible debut season at stud shows that his progeny just keep on giving.
His dozens of individual winners include the Grp-3 Molecomb Stakes winner and Grp-1 Middle Park Stakes third Rumble Inthejungle and the Italian Listed winner and Grp-3 placed Sopran Artemide.
There is also long-term breeding potential with this filly as she boasts an eyecatching pedigree. She is out of Sayrah, an unraced half-sister to the Grp-3 Oh So Sharp Stakes winner and Grp-2 Rockfel Stakes third Tabassum, from the family of the Grp-1 placed Crystal Downs, the Grade-3 winner and sire Prussian, and the Arc runner-up Mubtaker.
With a good attitude, appealing handicap mark, and in the hands of a very promising young trainer, there seems little doubt that Lippy Lady can give shareholders plenty of fun and excitement at a very attractive price.
