BGC Racing is delighted to offer 5% shares in the attractive Swiss Spirit juvenile filly Hornets Joy. A January foal that made her racecourse debut in October, she is trained by Robert Eddery in Newmarket. Training fees of £125 a month will commence from the 31st of October.
Hornets Joy hails from a family teeming with black-type performers. Her dam Kelamita won twice, and is herself one of three winners out of the Listed-placed Keladora. That mare was a half-sister to the Grp-1 Prix Marcel Boussac second On Verra, out of the Listed winner and Grp-1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches runner-up Karmifira.
Hornets Joy's debut came in a six-furlong maiden at Kempton earlier this month, where she was switched on enough to break and travel nicely, staying on to finish eighth. It was an encouraging effort and leaves plenty to work with and encouragement for the future.
She is by the Grp-3 winning sprinter Swiss Spirit, an imposing stallion that stamps his progeny and is a sibling of Stakes performers Swiss Diva, Swiss Dream and Swiss Franc. They are all linked by the exceptional dual Listed-winning matriarch Swiss Lake.
Swiss Spirit made a fine start with his first crop runners in 2017 and has continued his progress this season. His best progeny include the 102-rated Helvetian, the promising 101-rated two-year-old Swissterious and the prolific winning sprinters Mountain Peak and Kick On Kick On. Early signs are that his progeny are training on very well at three, which bodes extremely well for Hornets Joy.
The filly has plenty of strengthening to do over the winter, and is sure to improve once she has been given that time to develop. Although she made her debut over six-furlongs, connections believe that she will come into her own over a mile next year.
Shareholders will be entitled to two badges every time Hornets Joy runs, and can arrange to visit the filly in the yard whenever desired. This youngster is just embarking on her exciting journey in racing, why not join in the fun at an affordable rate?
