The Cartmel Syndicate has recently taken out a lease on the Sue Smith trained hurdler/chaser Dartford Warbler. Extraordinarily, free leases are available in the horse, with very reasonable monthly fees being the only outlay - absolutely no hidden costs!
Dartford Warbler will be running at Hexham on Tuesday 10th April. He goes there in great heart, and hopes are high for a big run.
Dartford Warbler has won five times over hurdles and once over fences. In total, he has been placed on 15 of his 44 starts and has accrued more than £50,000 in prize money. He is a fun horse that always tries his very best.
Although he hasn't been in the winner's enclosure so far this season, he has finished second over both hurdles and fences, including on his most recent outing when running a huge race in a two-mile-three furlong handicap chase at Market Rasen last month. He finds himself on a mark of 95 over fences, having previously won off 112, whilst his hurdles rating is currently 103, having previously won off as high as 125. In short, he is tremendously well-handicapped!
The West Yorkshire yard of Sue Smith, at which she is assisted by her legendary show-jumping husband Harvey, is of course most famous for winning the 2013 Grand National with Auroras Encore. They have handled the careers of numerous other high-class horses over many years though, from The Last Fling to Mister McGoldrick to Wakanda. The yard is enjoying a terrific season and has recorded 34 winners already at a very healthy 15% strike rate.
This is a rare offer, representing an extremely affordable opportunity to get involved with a consistent, proven winner that is housed at one of the North's leading stables. Don't miss out!
