Dam Sire: Dr Fong
Lease shares are available in this tremendous two-year-old filly by Showcasing, in training with Ebor and Group 3-winning trainer Joe Tuite in Lambourn. A fantastic physical specimen, this filly also boasts an excellent pedigree.
The dam Tartiflette was a very smart individual on the track. She won a maiden on her second and final start at two, before returning as a three-year-old to run subsequent Grp-2 winner and sire Gregorian to a head in a very competitive Newbury handicap, with another future Grp-2 winner, Aljamaaheer, behind her in fourth.
She was to win twice more in her career, both in Class 2 handicaps and she rose to a peak rating of 94. She was ideally suited by seven-furlongs, handled all types of going and maintained her high standards throughout three seasons of racing. Tartiflette also boasts a strong pedigree, as a half-sister to the Grp-3 Chipchase Stakes winner Aeolus and the Listed-placed Hezmah. The extended family includes, amongst others, the Grp-2 Temple stakes winner Priceless. Another positive for this youngster is the identity of her sire.
Showcasing was a classy two-year-old, who placed third in the Grp-1 Middle Park Stakes, but has gone on to far outstrip such achievements at stud. In a few short seasons he has gone from a covering fee of £5,000 to a current £35,000. He is a tremendous source of speed, his best representatives including the star dual Grp-1 winning sprinter Quiet Reflection and the Grp-2 winner Tasleet.
With looks and pedigree this youngster is of rare potential. It is also worth noting that the dam's 2015 Dark Angel colt sold for 185,000gns at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale of 2016, whilst her sire Dr Fong is a noted broodmare sire.
The filly is pleasing her trainer in her early work so far, now cantering away nicely with the string.
£500 for a 10% lease share, plus £250 per month to cover training costs up to 31st October 2018.
Prize-money earned by the filly will be shared on a pro-rata basis.
