Nominations are available to the Chapel Stud resident stallion Coach House. Embarking on his fifth covering season at a fee of £3,000 1st Oct LFFR, he was represented by his first crop of two-year-olds last year and his offspring compiled some impressive results.
Coach House was trained by Aidan O'Brien to win the Listed Marble Hill Stakes on his third appearance as a two-year-old. He followed that up with an excellent second to the subsequent Grp-1 winner No Nay Never in the Grp-2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot, run in an exceptionally fast time, and then took third behind subsequent Grp-1 winner Sudirman in the Grp-2 Railway Stakes - on what proved to be his final racecourse appearance.
Coach House is out of the Grp-3 winning and Grp-1 placed sprinter Lesson In Humility, from the family of pattern winners Eisteddfod, Poet's Vanity, Border Control and Boston Lodge.
A son of stallion-maker Oasis Dream, he is bidding to follow in the footsteps of paternal half-brother Showcasing. He began his stallion career with remarkably similar credentials to Coach House - as a very smart two-year-old out of a Stakes-winning sprinting mare and marketed as an economy option to breeders - and in a few short years has ascended to a fee of £55,000 thanks to the exploits of Quiet Reflection, Advertise et al.
Coach House's enormous potential was confirmed by his first book numbering no fewer than 110 mares, from which emerged numerous individual winners plus the exciting maiden The Cruising Lord, who was a narrow fourth in the Grp-3 Cornwallis Stakes at Newmarket. His second book was similarly large, so there is a lot more ammunition waiting in the wings.
Coach House was a fast and precocious two-year-old who has developed into an exceptional specimen that is throwing impressive young stock. He boasts an appealing pedigree and has made a promising start with his first crop runners - he looks very competitively priced at a fee of just £3,000.
Coach House first crop winners include:
More Than Likely - 3x winner rated 88
Coach Me Softly - 3x winner in Italy
I Believe In You - 2x winner rated 94
The Cruising Lord - 4th Grp-3 Cornwallis Stakes
Bardellago - 4th Listed Premio Rumon
