Sire: Black Sam Bellamy
Dam: Tamara Rojo
Dam Sire: Artiste Royal
This home-bred, unnamed filly has a lovely temperament. She was broken and cantering last year when with Stuart Kittow in Devon. Turned away at the beginning of November, she has been given time to grow and develop.
Her dam Tamara Rojo was unraced, but hails from
an impressive black-type family. She is out of the talented Bering
mare Tutu, who was a sibling of the Listed winner
and German 2,000 Guineas placed Champery and has
herself provided the French mile winner
The third dam Ice Ballet was a Listed winner in France whose further descendants and near relations include the New Zealand Grp-2 winner Platinum Princess, the multiple Group-race winner and US Grade-1 placed sire Fadeyev, the Grp-3 Chester Vase winner and Derby fifth Twist And Turn and the Grp-3 Gallinule Stakes winner Meath.
The speed and quality of this pedigree is complemented by the fact that this filly is by the excellent NH sire Black Sam Bellamy. A full-brother to the legendary Galileo, his regrettable death last year was a huge blow to the industry as evidence of his potency increases season after season.
His best runners include the Grade-1 Long Walk Hurdle winner
Sam Spinner, the Grade-2 Costwold Chase winner and
many-times Cheltenham Gold Cup placed The Giant
Bolster and the Grade-1 Grande Prix d'Automne hurdle
winner Galop Marin - who has won his last four
consecutive races and rates one of the most exciting NH horses in
Clearly, this filly boasts an appealing pedigree, with a good blend of speed and stamina.
She is a very exciting prospect and has been sensibly priced to sell.
