The celebrated Devon trainer Victor Dartnall is offering 10% shares in this progressive and versatile gelding who has shown steady improvement throughout this Flat season.
In his latest outing, Howardian Hills, trotted up when beating a competitive field of handicappers over a mile and a half on the all-weather at Kempton. Running over the same surface and distance, he had previously shown great promise when a very sound second behind Genuine Approval at Wolverhampton.
The form of that Kempton victory has since been franked, with Lyford, the horse he beat decisively, having since gone on to win at Chelmsford.
Back in May, the progressive gelding had flagged up what was to follow when finishing an excellent second to Ablaze on the turf at Salisbury.

Howardian Hills continues to show how well he stays 12 furlongs and the trainer believes there is scope for further improvement, possibly over further. The gelding now has an official rating of 57 and there are surely many more opportunities for him to pick up prize-money, especially as he appears to be staying in front of the handicapper.
Victor Dartnall has enjoyed notable success at a high level over a number of years over jumps, having won numerous Graded races with such familiar names as Lord Sam, Giles Cross and even the multiple Gold Cup-placed Sir Rembrandt.
Equally notable is Victor's record on the Flat. He has had a limited number of runners on the level but has trained many winners over the years at an exceptional career strike of 18%. The yard is looking to expand the Flat side of the business and Howardian Hills is certainly playing an important part in helping the trainer to realise that ambition.
