Dam Sire: Robellino
An attractive daughter of Requinto is
offered for sale. A forward type, she should be ready to run in six
to eight weeks time.
An April foal, this filly is out of the Robellino mare High Chart. She was a smart and precocious racehorse herself, winning on debut in the April of her two-year-old season. She was stepped up in class immediately after and performed with enough credit on her next two starts to earn a trip to Royal Ascot for the Queen Mary Stakes. Far from being an early sort that would not train on, High Chart went on to win a pair of handicaps as a three-year-old at up to a mile.
Since retiring to stud, High Chart has already produced a 90-rated two-year-old winner. That individual was Teresar, who was also quick enough to lead the field for the Grp-3 Cornwallis Stakes until the final furlong before finishing an excellent fifth. She only gave best late on in a race won by the subsequent dual Grp-1 winner Quiet Reflection.
High Chart's success as a broodmare was always likely given that she is out of the Listed-placed Bright Spells, who gave four winners from seven runners.
The sire Requinto is an assured source of speed and precocity. He was a very fast two-year-old himself, winning four of his eight racecourse starts, including the Grp-2 Flying Childers Stakes and the Grp-3 Molecomb Stakes. His first two crops of racing age have featured numerous classy performers, such as the Brocklesby winner Requinto Dawn and the Grp-2 placed Broken Stones. A notable trait of his offspring is just how quickly they take to the job, advertised by the fact that over 70% of his first crop winners scored on their first or second outings.
Should this youngster take after her parents, she ought to make a very useful and speedy juvenile this year. She is proving herself an extremely forward type, and she does nothing but improve with every piece of work. Her combination of looks and pedigree make her a very exciting prospect.
