GB Racing is delighted to offer shares in an attractive two-year-old filly by Camelot. Already in training in Newmarket, she has been broken in and ridden, and is impressing with her athleticism and attitude to her work.
The dam Dansable ran only once, yet boasts an eyecatching pedigree that features black-type performers of the highest order. The mare is a half-sister to the Grp-1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches winner and sire Astronomer Royal and the US Grade-2 winner Navesink River. They are out of the Stakes winning mare Sheepscot, who is in turn a sibling of the Grade-1 Florida Derby and Grade-1 Fountain of Youth Stakes winner and sire Vicar.
Dansable has previously produced three foals, the only one to have raced so far being the Rip Van Winkle filly Lady Derrynane. She was precocious enough to finish second in a maiden at two, before winning a mile handicap at three and earning a peak official rating of 85. With progeny by High Chaparral and No Nay Never waiting in the wings, it is surely only a matter of time before the mare earns further laurels.
It is also worth noting the developing record of Dansable's sire Dansili in the broodmare sire division. Long since established as a world-class producer in his own right, his mares have in the last two seasons provided the Grade-1 Breeders' Cup Mile hero Expert Eye, and further Group/Grade-1 winners Uni, Ice Breeze, Capla Temptress and Nezwaah.
Unquestionably developing into a world-class sire too is the 2012 Derby winner Camelot. His first crop may have started a little slowly in 2017, but once granted time and a distance of ground to run over they have demonstrated that their sire is one of the most influential young stallions currently in service.
His covering fee has been raised to a career high €40,000 for 2019 and his yearling fillies average over 100,000gns in the auction ring. These impressive statistics are the result of an outstanding 2018 which saw his son Latrobe win the Grp-1 Irish Derby, Athena the Grade-1 Belmont Oaks Invitational and Hunting Horn the Grp-3 Hampton Court Stakes (and finish Grade-1 placed), whilst Arthur Kitt showed the sire is no back number with juveniles by landing the Listed Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Clearly this filly has compelling pedigree credentials. Although the sire's career remains in the embryonic stages, the pairing of Camelot with a Dansili mare has already produced the useful winner Christopher Robin, and this filly promises to match those achievements and more. As can clearly be seen from the accompanying footage, she has all the physical attributes required to back up her impressive lineage. Shares are sure to sell fast, don't miss out!
