Sasheen Partnership Syndicates are thrilled to offer shares in a March 2016 son of Archipenko named FITWOOD STAR (see pedigree at Pedigree Query).
Quality colt by a top stallion out of a mare by 8f Group 1 winner ZAFEEN. Had his first serious gallop this week. Went well. No physical or mental problems. Probably 7f or 8f for his first race.
His 4yo brother is having his second serious gallop on Saturday in preparation for a 2m NHF race. This horse has a heart capable of Group-winning performance.
£975 FOR 2.5% SHARE PAYABLE BY 18 JUNE 2018
Includes share purchase (£675) and all costs of training and racing until 30th Nov 2018 (£300). (Entry in the Plus 10 Bonus Scheme included).
It is anticipated that FITWOOD STAR would be sold at Tattersalls HIT sale in November 2018. If he is sold, race winnings plus sale income (net) to be shared pro rata per share.
If he shows the ability to gain BLACK-TYPE he may be raced as a 3yo. In that case, shareholders may take their winnings and sell their share back to me on 30th November 2018 at a fair price given by an independent valuer.
If he is run on, the training and racing costs may be £75-£100 pcm per share for 12 months if he is entered for the 2000 Guineas.
It is anticipated that FITWOOD STAR would finally be sold at Tattersalls HIT sale in November 2019. If he is sold, race winnings plus sale income (net) to be shared pro rata per share.
Full contract terms on request.
This young colt is a second foal out of the useful racemare Sasheen. In a long career she demonstrated a good level of ability and her constitution was such that she stood up to the rigours of racing for four full seasons. She was precocious enough to be placed on her second outing as a two-year-old over a mile and later won three handicaps over distances ranging from a mile to a mile-and-a-quarter. In total, she was placed on 10 of her 36 outings and was rated as high as 70 at her peak.
Sasheen hails from a family of enduring quality; indeed her female line can be traced all the way back to the legendary Pretty Polly. Her dam Sashay was a prolific six-time winner over staying trips with lines to Law Society and Sadlers Wells. Sasheen counts amongst her siblings the ten-time winner Precision Five (two hurdles / eight flat. Best RPR 91F/116H) and the six-time winner and full brother Laser Blazer (three hurdles / three flat. Best RPR 79F/133H).
Sasheen has had one earlier foal, a 2014 gelding by Schiaparelli that is named Monscheen. He is unraced so far, but is in training and has an exciting future as a NH runner. He has been heart sized as equivalent to Group-winning horses (results available upon request) by Prof. Lesley E Young. FITWOOD STAR may also carry this heart, passed on by SASHEEN.
Sasheen also has a correct 2017 filly by Indian Haven. She has just foaled to Equiano - the range of stallions she has visited emphasising what diverse options she presents and reflecting the dual-purpose nature of her family.
Archipenko's best representatives include the recent Grp-1 Hong Kong Cup winner Time Warp and the Grp-1 British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes winner Madame Chiang.
FITWOOD STAR is in full training in Hampshire with Patrick Chamings, who has sent out well over 200 winners during a successful career, excelling with both flat and NH horses.
