The four-time winner Sudden Impact retains a great deal of potential as a broodmare.
She is a daughter of the Grp-3 winner Modigliani, who was trained by Aidan O'Brien during his racing days. He has a superb pedigree, being a half-brother to 2000 Guineas, Juddmonte International and Champion Stakes winner Rodrigo de Triano. At stud Modigliani has sired the Grp-3 winning two-year-old Magritte and the 107-rated Clon Brulee.
Sudden Impact was a fine representative of the stallion on the track, showing ability right from the start of her career at two years. She won twice during her debut season, including when scooping over £100,000 for scoring in the Tattersalls Ireland Sale Stakes at the Curragh. She ended up as a four-time winner who was a regular in Listed company and was rated as high as 97.
She is a daughter of juvenile winner Suddenly, who has given eight winners at stud. These include the five-time winner Elanje and the dual winners Sudden Dismissal and De Repente.
Sudden Impact has had a few foals so far, though none has had the opportunity to show their ability on the track. At just twelve years old she has lots of breeding years ahead of her and should she follow in the footsteps of her dam, it won't be long before she foals plenty of winners.
