The proven broodmare and five-time racecourse winner Perfect Act is offered for sale for just £10,000.
She was an excellent performer on the track, combining real precocity with genuine longevity. She won on her racecourse debut as a two-year-old, winning with real authority in a good Newbury maiden. She went on to race for six seasons in total, demonstrating her fantastic constitution and temperament in the process.
Although her debut win came over seven-furlongs, it was down at six-furlongs that she would excel. She won or placed in more than 33% of her starts, won over £40,000 in win and place prize money and was officially rated 88 at her best. A turf winner that handled fast ground, she was best known for her exploits on the AW, winning twice at Lingfield and Kempton respectively.
Since retiring in 2012, Perfect Act has not been long in passing on her talent to her offspring. Her 2013 daughter Fleeting Glimpse was a winner over six-furlongs at Kempton last season. Perfect Act's long-term prospects as a broodmare are further embellished by a glance at her pedigree. She is a daughter of the notable producer Markova's Dance, who has foaled five winners in total. The best of them aside from Perfect Act is the five-time winner Evening Attire - another who thrived on both turf and artificial surfaces, and was rated as high as 92.
Perfect Act is by the late stallion Act One, who was a Grp-1 winner at two and three-years and has gone on to similar levels of success at stud. He is the damsire of many smart animals, notably the 2016 Grp-3 Prestige Stakes winner Kilmah. Incidentally, Kilmah was bred by Mildmay Bloodstock, in whose colours Perfect Act raced throughout her excellent career.
This is a fabulous opportunity to purchase an exciting broodmare with plenty of years ahead of her.
